Following on from our successful delivery of Phase 1, Amiri were delighted to be awarded Phase 2 of the vehicle workshops scheme following a two stage tender process. This project delivers a new steel framed unit encompassing an agri-engineering workshop, a four car vehicle workshop with demonstration area and tyre changing and wheel balancing facilities, and an administrative centre that includes two teaching rooms, two tutorial rooms, an office, an apprentices’ suite, storage and the plant room which includes all the welding gas supplies. The building is situated in the centre of the campus, immediately adjacent to the bus stops and main vehicle access, in front of the College reception. As the first building seen by visitors to the College it was essential that this site was safe, immaculately presented and that the work progressed with the absolute minimum of disruption to the day to day running of the College as well as ensuring the high quality of  the finished buildings. We are delighted that our attention to detail was recognised with the award of a Performance Beyond Compliance accreditation from the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
We were also delighted to work with the college to include some metal brackets fabricated by Sparsholt College students as part of the cladding detailing along with brickwork elements carried out by Level 3 NVQ students from the sister Andover College.
